Quidam Blue is an imported, fully licensed and approved Hanoverian stallion, successful at the international Grand Prix jumper level. Moreover, he is a gem to have in the stable — a beautiful stallion that loves to work, travel and is a gentleman to work around.
As a three-year-old, Quidam Blue completed the 70-Day Performance Test in Warendorf, Germany. Throughout the test he impressed judges with his calm character, pleasant mind and work attitude. He scored well in rideability and excelled in the jumping phase. He finished with a combined index of 107.31, finishing fourth overall in the jumping category. Quidam Blue’s pedigree is filled with famous French, Holsteiner and Westfalen jumping bloodlines, including the names of Quidam de Revel, Landgraf I, Come On, Cantus, Pilot and Weinberg. His grandsire Quidam de Revel and his maternal grandsire, Come On, were both most successful international show jumpers. His sire Quidam’s Rubin was only granted a short life himself; in this short time he already stood out as an exceptional sire of performance horses and licensed stallions.
Quidam Blue started his show career in 2010 with great success, winning the Five-Year-Old Western Canadian Young Horse Championship. The following years he collected many ribbons at shows like the Spruce Meadows Summer Series under his amateur rider Beke Brinkmann, and played his way into the 1.30 m.
Since 2013, owned in a partnership with Juniper Farms, he has continued to move up the levels with his rider Jill Henselwood. 2014 highlights of his first year in the 1.50m level were a third place finish as part of the Canadian Team at the Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup in Bratislava , a second place at the Wild Card Smart Pack Grand Prix at Saugerties, and lastly the win in the SynOil Energy Services CSI** Cup at the Royal West in Calgary.
In 2017 we are again looking forward his oldest offsprings’ appearances at shows; so far impressing with their easy-going temperaments, athleticism and willingness to work.

A true modern sport horse, Casparo’s bloodlines combine contemporary sport-breeding with foundational bloodlines. Casparo is truly a kind and clever character packaged in an elite compact athletic frame. He is an imported Hanoverian stallion sired by Germany’s famous Coupe de Coeur.
Casparo has already been awarded the rare title of Licensed in Verden, Germany as a two-year old stallion. After a year of growing and beginning his under-saddle training in Germany, he was imported to Canada in the fall of 2015. He has impressed us with his kind people-oriented demeanor, whilst full of energy and show-star attitude. Casparo has began his show career under rider Beke Brinkmann, playing his way into the Western Canadian 5-Year old finals in 2016. In 2017 they will continue this route following a local show-series for 6-Year old horses.
Casparo’s sire Coupe de Couer is amongst the most successful show jumpers in Europe with 125 wins and placings in Grand Prixs, Nation’s Cups and World Cup competitions, which includes the three-time title of German Show Jumping Champion. Coupe de Coeur is now retired from the sport and standing at Ludger Beerbaum stables in Germany.
Casparo’s dam line, by Wogenbrecher, leads back to both legendary Hanoverian bloodlines of Werther and Gardestern. Werther is remembered with the title Hanoverian Stallion of the Year, due to the successes of his offspring, which include Casparo’s dam sire Wogenbrecher.
Casparo’s first foal crop was born in 2016, and his foals were marked with his fine facial features. We feel fortunate to offer another outstanding young stallion to breeders of North America this 2017 breeding season.

Equitop Farm is proud to continue to offer their stallion Portland L to Canadian breeders. Portland L, was well known throughout Europe as a successful show jumper and a superior sire. He was bred by the legendary Fritz Ligges (Olympic Gold Medallist), who also owned and competed with Portland’s dam-sire Ramiro. Currently Portland L is enjoying his life as a retired show jumper at Equitop Farm and sought after sire.
Portland L was licensed as a two year old in Muenster, Germany. As a three year old it was obvious that this stallion would be destined for the higher levels of show jumping. He received the highest possible score of 10 two times by his Test Riders in the Jumping Category at the 100-Day Testing.
At the ages of 5 and 6, Portland L won jumping classes of the 1.20m to 1.35m Level, therefore qualifying for the German Federal Championships. In 2002, as a 7 yr. old, Portland L gained to his resumé an unbelievable record of 17 wins and placings out of 18 starts at the M and S level (1.30m and 1.45m).
In his first season of competition under the German Champion Marco Kutscher (Olympic Medallist in Athens 2004) he went on to win several S Class (highest level) jumping tournaments of National and International niveau.
These extraordinary results came as no surprise, for Portland L is a product of two sires of the century, Pilot and Ramiro.
His sire Pilot is the idol of the Westphalian breeding program, with countless offspring competing at the highest level of international show jumping. Recently, a statue of Pilot was erected at the Westphalian headquarters in honor of his contribution. To name a few of his famous offspring: the international jumpers Pirol, Panama, Pialotta and Ludger Beerbaum’s P.S.Priamos, as well as the Olympic Gold Medal winner Pedro.
Portland L’s dam Ranashun is by Ramiro; famous international competitor himself and also sire of countless Grand Prix jumpers, of which the most renowned is Beerbaum’s Ratina Z. His legend continues in his numerous successful offspring and is highly valued by all significant breeding associations around the world.
The dam Ranashun is a full sister to the licensed stallion Rodney who competed under Fritz Ligges in the International Circuit, including the wins of many Grand Prix and Nation’s Cups. Ranashun produced 5 licensed stallions and also Sport horses that won in S- Level show jumping, as well as in Grand Prix dressage classes.
Portland L’s grandmother Usch, again was a successful performance horse in dressage, eventing and open jumper classes. She produced besides Rodney another Ramiro daughter, Rauna, also successful in Open Jumper Classes.
Portland L’s own first crop of offspring immediately received a reputation of high competency in the sport and he has also produced licensed sons. As early as 2003 his eldest offspring were champions in young horse jumping classes and as 5 yr. olds have done the same in following years, supporting their strong buyer demand. In 2004, Pirol by Portland L placed 6th in the FEI World Championships for Young Jumping Horses in Lanaken, Belgium. Pirol was enrolled in the PSI Auction in December 2004 in Ankum, Germany and sold as a 5 year old, for 155 000 Euro (Approx. $250 000). Several Portland L offspring compete in the North American jumper circuit.
European breeders still have the chance to use Portland L through frozen semen provided by Gestuet Ligges while North American breeders can breed their mares by fresh cooled semen through Equitop Farm. As Portland L does no longer travel for competition, he is available to breeders 24/7.
